At Tallow Verde Group, we strive to be a leading producer, processor, and supplier of quality tallow in the Americas by setting high standards and regard for the welfare of both our personnel and animals.

The story of Tallow Verde Group

Tallow Verde Group is a newly formed company by CEO and Founder, Jose Murillo, who has extensive experience in the tallow trade in the Americas, and Rene van de Zande, who is a seasoned investor and owner of U.S. based RVZ Management LLC.

In early 2022, Jose and Rene met in La Paz, Mexico, to discuss the need for a tallow production and supply company in Central America that can produce, process, and supply large quantities of quality tallow on a consistent basis to customers in the Americas. Both Jose and Rene shared a common believe that to be a leading supplier of tallow does not have to be at the detriment of animal welfare from the time they arrive at the slaughterhouse to the slaughtering of the animal.

Their wish to control the supply of quality tallow combined with witnessing the current slaughtering practices throughout Central America, they decided to take control over its tallow supply by designing, building, owning, and managing its own slaughterhouses and tallow production plants, applying gold standard slaughtering practices that takes animal welfare in high regard.

Jose and Rene believe that a lack of state-of-the-art equipment, design and lay-out of slaughterhouses, employee knowledge, skills and training, and inadequate oversight results in problems in animal welfare in this industry. It is for that reason Tallow Verde Group invests in state-of-the-art facilities and extensive training of our employees to prevent these problems in the welfare of animals upon arrival. In our business culture, we want a purposeful management and awareness that affects the well-being of the animals and that of the people involved positively, and the success of our company.
